Is it just us, or are sisters totally ruling the fashion world right now? It was Balmain’s AW15 campaign that first got us thinking about the trend, followed by the announcement that Kendall and Kylie Jenner are to turn their fiercely manicured hands to design.

Here are some of our favourite sisterly fashion collabs…

Kendall and Kylie Jenner
After testing the water on sell-out collaborations with Pac Sun and Topshop, Kendall and Kylie are officially launching their own contemporary line, titled, Kendall + Kylie, duh. ‘Designing is something that we’ve always wanted to do, and I think it’s really cool to kind of step back and put the looks together and be a part of the shoot when it’s a different model modelling it and actually being the creative person behind it,’ Kendall told WWD. We’re predicting strong heels, off-duty model denim and a whole lotta bodycon.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen
Perhaps the most famous of all sister design duos, Mary-Kate and Ashley turned their Dualstar entertainment company into a high fashion empire in 2006, when they launched their contemporary line Elizabeth and James and premium collection, The Row. Now one of NYFW’s hottest tickets, The Row’s subtly luxurious designs are loved by fashion editors the world over.

Sienna Miller and Savannah Miller
Sienna and Savannah launched Twenty 8 Twelve in 2007 (the height of our infatuation with Sienna’s trademark boho style) and became a firm fixture on the London Fashion Week schedules. The pair stepped down as co-creative directors in 2012, with Savannah launching her own eponymous line.

Laura And Kate Mulleavy
Rodarte designers Laura and Kate have conquered the fashion world their couture-worthy creations. But their route to the top was far from ordinary. ‘We were completely self-taught,’ Laura told Marie Claire Runway exclusively. ‘I studied English literature and Kate studied art history. We flew to New York with ten pieces of clothing and the next thing, we were on the cover of Women's Wear Daily and meeting with Anna Wintour three weeks later in Los Angeles.’

Penélope and Mónica Cruz
The Cruzes have been designing their L’Agent line for Agent Provocateur for 5 seasons now – and it’s smoking hot. The famous actress and her dancer sister clearly know a thing or two about how to look smouldering on all occasions, and now they’re giving their gift to us too.

ALL The Other Kardashian Sisters
Kim, Kourtney and Khloe are long-term collaborators on the famous Kardashian Kollection, a high street line that has teamed up with Lipsy and Dorothy Perkins in the UK. Is there any industry these sisters have yet to tap? We're staying tuned for the hotel chain, the food franchise and the theme park. Can you actually imagine that one?
