TIPS ON LEATHER WEARS FOR SUMMER

Think leather is just for winter? Think again. It's undoubtedly one of the trickiest trends to master, but when carefully styled, summer leather is about as chic as it gets. And to ensure we're suitably prepared, we're looking to those savvy celebs for some top styling tips on how to re-work our beloved leather.

Naturally, black is at the forefront colour-wise, followed swiftly by tan and rich berry hues. Among those classic leather shades is navy. Yes, navy is all kinds of cool when it comes to wearing summer leather, and will work well with anything in your current wardrobe.

You might want to consider the new shapes on offer. As much as super-skinny, luxe-looking leather trews will always hold a place in our hearts (and wardrobes) there are plenty of new shapes and styles on offer this season, that are far easier to wear, and often, far more figure-flattering.

Olivia Palermo leads the charge for dungarees, wearing her version with an equally chic cold shoulder top, sheer pointed courts and a suitably statement necklace. The message here is clear, dress up your leather by wearing all black everything.

Championing the leather A-Line dress is Kate Mara, who rocks hers with some barely-there heels and subtle lip colour.

While Rosie Huntington-Whiteley makes a strong case for the low-rise, cropped biker trouser, styling her pair with pointed courts, a white cut-out tee, a bucket bag and a sleek black belt.
